Express Entry

Express Entry is a streamlined immigration system for skilled workers aiming to become permanent residents of Canada. It manages applications under three federal economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Eligibility Criteria:

Federal Skilled Worker Program: Requires at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time skilled work experience in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER 0,1,2,3 occupation. Must score a minimum number of points on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), considering factors like age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and adaptability.

Canadian Experience Class: Requires at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC TEER 0,1,2,3 occupation. Must meet language proficiency requirements and demonstrate the intent to live outside Quebec.

Federal Skilled Trades Program: Requires at least two years of full-time work experience (or equivalent part-time) in a skilled trade within the past five years. Must meet language proficiency requirements and receive a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification in a skilled trade issued by a Canadian province or territory.

Application Process:

Applicants create an online profile in the Express Entry system and are ranked based on their CRS score. The highest-ranking candidates receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence, which must be submitted within a specific timeframe along with supporting documents and fees.

Updates:

Regular Express Entry draws are conducted, specifying the CRS score cut-off for ITAs. Applicants should stay informed about program updates, changes, and processing times.
